And please come back in November, 2022!
To empower our mental health community through wellness, meaningful activity, and community connection.
Our community members living with serious mental illnesses are some of the most vulnerable and isolated in the community. During the Pandemic, while many of us struggled with isolation and the inability to connect with people and activities that bring meaning and health to our lives, they suffered greatly.
We have provided healthy food deliveries and regular contacts through phone and internet outreach to the mental health community we serve. We now need to raise funds to continue our food distributions and services connecting participants to activities such as education, work and volunteerism that improve lives and make our community stronger.
These efforts reduce the burden on the community by preventing homelessness, incarcerations and expensive psychiatric hospitalizations.
We are asking Santa Cruz Gives donors to support this critical piece.
Community Connection has given me the tools to get well, to cope, to come to an understanding about myself. I not only come here for me, but my journey to wellness has been so powerful that I want to give back and help other people.
