Community Bike Collective

Organization Mission

To provide access to quality bikes and dedicated people who will create a safe, healthy and happy community through positive biking experiences.

We love our kids most! We are a group that has been together for over ten years (we used to be a Trips for Kids chapter) and are grateful for the opportunity to serve our youth.

The Big Idea 2022:
Community Bike Camp

WE ARE THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE! Community Bike Collective is rooted in our community, equity and justice. Our Summer Bike Camp is FREE to local youth, with a focus on under-resourced and underserved youth in Santa Cruz County.

If kids don’t know how to ride, we teach them. We implement life-changing programs for local youth. Many of our youth have never seen a redwood tree or been to the beach! Your support will fund impactful programs that engage youth through learning in action with hands-on activities including bike skills, life skills, self-care, community-care, healthy living and local history. We connect youth to the joys of bike riding and foster a love of LIFE.

We connect youth to important community resources, encourage their involvement in advocacy, and provide opportunities for leadership development. Each program culminates with a celebration at a local pump track where each youth is acknowledged for a quality that has a positive impact on the group and the community. RIDE ON!

The Community Bike Collective would never leave a person behind.

We’re In This Together

Nonprofits are more important that ever in this trying time. Santa Cruz Gives! was created to support the local nonprofit community's Big Ideas (and programs). And thanks to your participation and generosity, Santa Cruz Gives! raised over $1.10 million for 82 local nonprofits in 2021.

SCGives! has now raised and contributed over $36 million dollars since its inception Seven years ago. That’s astounding. And wonderful. Thank you to all our Partners, Sponsors, nonprofit Board Directors, staff and volunteers — and each of our 1,455 donors. We did it, together.
