The Live Oak Education Foundation raises money to ensure that students in the Live Oak School District have enriching opportunities in the visual and performing arts as well as the “STEM” fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and positive play.
We are raising funds to replace and upgrade the gym floor at Shoreline Middle School. After 25 years and thousands of kids playing on it, the floor is worn and damaged. The gym is also rented after school and during summers by local youth and adult recreational groups (basketball, volleyball, and wrestling).
We dream of a functional, beautiful gymnasium that will serve our community AND nearly 2,000 youth per year. We’re more than halfway to our goal and would love your support to build this much-needed floor!
I grew up going to the Shoreline gym while watching my dad coach and host tournaments, and then played basketball here when I was a student. I have a lot of memories there and can’t wait for it to be improved for the next generation of kids.
