Inspired by Shakespeare, we create and strengthen community by bringing audiences and theater artists together to celebrate stories about our collective humanity.
This year, we will expand the Transportation Fund to not only help schools rent buses to bring students to our theatre for professional performances, but to reach more students by bringing professional theatre performances to dozens of schools and other venues throughout Santa Cruz County.
Our goal is to ensure that every single high school student in Santa Cruz County has seen a live, professional production of a play by Shakespeare or other playwright by the time they graduate. We offer school matinee performances of all summer, fall, and winter productions.
Please help us expand opportunities to more students.
My students were completely engaged and immersed in the play. The post-show conversation we had was impactful. This will inform their work the rest of the school year and beyond.
