The mission of the Youth Resource Bank is to solicit, collect, and connect community resources to meet the needs of vulnerable youth that have fallen through the cracks of the traditional systems of support in Santa Cruz County. We are an all-volunteer group of professionals—therefore, 96% of donations go directly to local youth!
We support vulnerable youth whose needs are unmet by existing Santa Cruz County support networks. The challenges youth face are increasing: housing instability, family insecurity, access to enriching activities/college, job readiness clothes, tools, boots, and household items.
Your investment helps bridge critical gaps, opening possibilities for youth who might otherwise be left behind, homeless, or disenfranchised. Because of the generosity of donors like yourself, last year YRB was able to help nearly 500 vulnerable children—double from the year before.
Examples of resources YRB provides:
● Participation fees for enrichment activities, classes, and camps
● Transportation assistance and communication tools
● Sports gear, school supplies, clothing, and household essentials
● Support with health, mental health, and dental needs
● Infant and child safety needs (car seats, bike helmets, locks)
Even the smallest contribution can greatly impact a child’s life.
Thank you for helping our daughter. You are doing a very important thing! Sophia smiles everyday now and will not forget everyone who helped her.
